Meet our Founder

Cynthia N. Cortez (she/her) | Founder and Principal Consultant

Some people may say I have build an unconventional career: moving every two years or so, ping ponging between Higher Education and Nonprofit Sectors.

Some may say that my consulting experiences are wildly varied.

But, there is a divine reason why I’ve moved around as I’ve had and why my consulting experience is the same age as my professional one.

I am a change management, implementation expert. Every project I’ve worked on, whether as an employee or consultant, came from a visionary leader who wanted to see true change. The pairing worked well - high sense of accountability to community from them and a deeply committed doer to translate these ideas into results.

Over the course of my career, I’ve learned that I find the most joy in helping the visionary. Yet, the situations and pressures they navigate are real, realities that can be personally, spiritually, and emotionally taxing.

In seeing visionary leaders navigate toxic work cultures, navigate challenges in team dynamics and morale, see operational needs fall through the gaps, or have the effects of overwhelm erode their effectiveness, there is a need in this world for the change makers to have a trusted co-pilot.

Change tends to be stubbornly resisted but change must occur.

I founded EnlightenSense to be that partner that lets visionary leaders breathe, especially when their first attempt of change didn’t go as expected.

This is our expertise: We enjoy solving organizational problems and cleaning up untidy practices because once the house is in order - and you have the candid conversations you need - we know you will come back with a fortified vision and a renewed strategy for success.

“Your most powerful energy source is your heart, The messages its giving you, the emotions its making you feel IS because it wants to protect you, There is no emotion your vessel will feel that is not connected to safety and authentic life.”
